Some 46 years ago, when buses and trams still flooded the streets of Johannesburg, Rubin Lipschitz started Lippy's Office Supplies.
With just one hundred and ten pounds to his name and an entrepreneurial spirit, the brazen Mr Lipschitz took on the then captains of industry. His main competitors were Spearheads, W Hays, Gala, and others who have faded with time. The long-lived Lippy's success story could always be traced back to their willingness to go the extra mile for their customer's needs. This created a fearsome reputation of offering competitively priced goods with unmatched levels of service.
In July 2006, Lippy's Office Supplies merged with Intouch Stationers and from this marriage Lippy's Stationers (Pty) Ltd was born. The new management team have taken on a business venture that integrates the old tried and tested methods with the use of technology and youth, to form a company that is more productive, and more intelligently geared, to provide top-notch service levels to new and existing clients.
